Yatris above 70 years are not permitted to undertake the yatra. We expect this rule to be relaxed.Kindly contact us for further details

Every Yatri should be aware that it is a rigorous and challenging trip where he/she would have to spend all the time at high altitudes. Hence physical fitness is an important criterion to undertake this yatra. Daily walks for at least 4 kms can help . Short hiking undertaken regularly would also help.

Physical fitness is extremely important. People having acute asthmatic problems, heart diseases, and those who are highly diabetic are advised to refrain from this yatra.

We do not advice heart patients to join the yatra. However, if the yatri is very much interested to join, a medical certificate produced by his/her Cardiologist after doing a thorough medical examination certifying that he/she is physically fit to travel at high altitude of nearly 4500 m high, may be produced.

There are no medical examinations done at Nepal or Tibet. However, yatris should cooperate for any medical examination if the Chinese authorities insist on, while crossing the Nepal-Tibet China border or anytime during the yatra in Tibet China.

Yes. Yatris should submit Medical Fitness Certificate from their family doctor. Medical Fitness form will be given by us.

It is advisable to carry first-aid kit with you. Please consult your family doctor and carry general medicines. But consult your Tibetan / Nepali / Indian team leaders before you consume any of these medicines. Do not carry sleeping pills with you or consume the same during the yatra under any situation.

No. Yatris are requested to obtain proper medical and travel insurance prior to the trip if desired.

High altitude or mountain sickness is defined when someone feels sick at high altitudes, such as in the mountains or any other altitude-related sicknesses. It is hard to determine who will be affected by altitude-sickness, as there are no specific factors that compare with this susceptibility to altitude sickness. Symptoms include headache, fatigue, stomach illness, dizziness, and sleep disturbance. Exertion aggravates the symptoms.

Yes. Yatris must be in possession of a passport with at least 6 months validity.

Indian yatris do not require a visa to visit Nepal. Others can obtain on-arrival multiple entry Nepal visa at the Tribhuvan airport, Kathmandu. Please check the link in the Nepal General Information page.

Indian passport holders: Yatris will have submit their original passports to us before 15 days of their departure date for Kailash yatra. We need a minimum of 5 working days to process your visa at the Chinese Embassy in Delhi. Foreign passport holders: You need to submit your original passport once you reach Kathmandu. We will need at least 3 full working day at Kathmandu, Nepal to complete the visa formalities.

Start drinking at least 3 litres of water daily. Breathe in through your nose only and not through your mouth. Do pranayama regularly. Walk starting from 1 km a day and increase up to 5 km a day or climb steps and practice at home without taking a break.

Samrat will make all arrangements for the yatri to return back home, but the yatri will have to bear the expenses incurred during the process from the point of separation from the group till he/she reaches back home. Also there will not be any refund for the unutiliseed services
